What a wonderful surprise when we opened our mail today!  A congratulations to my son, Heath , for being selected Mid South Regional First Scholar!  He has worked very hard and given 110% .  For those of you not familiar with this – students are nominated and those chosen are recognized for outstanding excellence in the classroom, extra-curricular activities and involvement in the community.  Heath managed to play football, baseball, and basketball,  but still maintained all A’s during the school year.   Speaks volumes for him!   And Bruce and I couldn’t be more proud!  He will be presented with this in April at Wake Forest University!

Congratulations! That is wonderful. I know you are so proud and should be. He looks so much like you. Especially in the baseball picture.

Thanks Anne! We are so proud of him. He really is a good kid. We are very lucky. And I hear that he looks like me all the time. Have you seen the pics of my daughter. I hear that both ways – looks like me and daddy.
